Why Do I Do This?

I've spent more than twenty-three years planning weddings. Why?  The answer has never been because it’s fun or glamrous or because I like pretty parties.  I do this because I know what it feels like when life becomes overwhelming.  I know what it feels like to carry responsibilities that seem too heavy.  I know what it feels like to need someone beside you who simply says,  "I've got you."

Every couple deserves that feeling.  Long before the big day arrives, there are decisions to make, budgets to manage, family dynamics to navigate, unexpected problems to solve, and moments when it all feels bigger than it should.  My job isn't to remove every challenge.  My job is to make sure you never feel alone, confused, overwhelmed or afraid of making a wrong choice.

Happily Wed

Over the years I've learned that the most meaningful part of wedding planning isn't creating beautiful weddings.  It's creating the place for two people to be completely immersed in one of the most important days of their lives.  If, at the end of the evening, my couple says,  "We never had to worry because we knew you were taking care of everything,"  then I've done exactly what I set out to do.

That's why I still love this work.  Not because I plan weddings.  Because I protect moments that can never be recreated.
