Maybe You Just Need a Wedding Planner for Two Hours

Not every couple needs a wedding planner.  There. I said it.  After more than 20 years of planning weddings, I know there are couples who are perfectly capable of handling much of the planning themselves. You may already have your venue. You may have hired several of your vendors. You may even have a very impressive spreadsheet.  But that doesn’t mean you won’t reach a point when you think:  Are we doing this right?  Maybe your budget isn’t behaving the way you expected.  Maybe you have three proposals in front of you and aren’t sure how to compare them.  Maybe you’re worried that you’ve forgotten something important.  Perhaps the logistics have become more complicated than you anticipated. Or everyone has an opinion, Google has given you 47 different answers, and you simply want to talk to someone who actually knows.  That is exactly why I offer my Planning Strategy Session.

Two Hours. Your Wedding. Your Questions.

This isn’t a sales consultation disguised as a planning meeting.  It is two hours devoted to your wedding and what you need help solving.  Bring me the questions keeping you up at night. Bring the vendor proposals you don’t understand. Bring the budget that no longer adds up. Bring the timeline you’re unsure about, the family complication you don't know how to handle, or the list that has become so long you no longer know what should come first.  We’ll work through it together.  After more than two decades behind the scenes at weddings, I can often see things a couple simply wouldn’t know to look for, not because you haven’t done your homework, but because this is probably the first wedding you’ve planned.  It isn't my first.

Sometimes You Need an Experienced Second Set of Eyes

One of the most valuable things a planner provides is perspective.  I know which questions to ask.

I know where problems tend to hide.  I know which details matter enormously and which ones aren't worth another sleepless night.  And I know that sometimes a relatively small decision made now can prevent a much larger problem later.  You don't necessarily need someone to take over your wedding to benefit from that experience.  Sometimes you just need access to it.

What Could We Accomplish in Two Hours?

Every wedding is different, so every session is different.  We might talk about your budget and priorities. Review where you are in the planning process. Look at vendor decisions. Work through logistics. Discuss family dynamics. Identify what is still missing. Figure out what needs to happen next.  Or you can simply arrive with a list of everything you have been wondering and ask me.  There is no silly question.  There are, however, questions that are much less expensive to answer before the wedding day.

You Can Plan Your Own Wedding Without Having to Figure Out Everything Alone

That is really the point.  The choice doesn't have to be between hiring a full-service wedding planner and doing absolutely everything by yourself.  There is a place in between.  My Planning Strategy Session is $300 for two hours of focused, one-on-one planning guidance.  You bring the wedding.  You bring the questions.  I'll bring more than 20 years of experience.  And we'll figure out what comes next.  You don't need a wedding planner.  You just need a wedding planner for two hours.  Yes, a wedding planner just said that.

If you're planning your own wedding and doing just fine, except for the questions you can't get answered, the budget that isn't quite adding up, the vendor proposals you're struggling to compare, or that nagging feeling that you might be forgetting something, you don't necessarily need to hand your wedding over to someone else.  You may just need an experienced second set of eyes.  That's why I offer my Planning Strategy Session: two private hours devoted to your wedding, your questions and the things you need help figuring out.  No packages. No obligation to hire me for planning afterward.  Just access to more than 20 years of wedding-planning experience when you need it.  $300 for two hours.  Because sometimes one good conversation now can prevent a very expensive problem later.
