The Finished Product May Be A Smokescreen

Success can hide a multitude of issues that no one sees. The party is a success. The room looks stunning. The dance floor is full all night. The food is delicious. By all outside appearances, this was a successful event.

But, what your guests did not see, was the stress you felt because your planner did not follow through with their contract and you had to become your own planner. Contracts were wrong, timing was off, the load in was not communicated properly. The venue coordinator didn't know what a votive candle was or how to size a banquet table linen. The caterer was late and the bar wasn't ready when guests arrived.

When the operation falls short and there are gaps in the process, what the guests experience may not be what actually transpired. A successful outcome and a successful operation may not be the same thing.
