Experience Changes The Questions You Ask
When you first begin planning a wedding, you naturally focus on the things you know to ask about. The venue, the flowers, the photographs, the music, the food. But after more than two decades of planning weddings and events, I've learned that some of the most important questions are the ones couples don't yet know they need to ask.
What isn't included? What happens if the timeline changes? Who is responsible for this at the end of the night? Does this contract actually cover what we think it covers? What will this decision affect six months from now? What haven't we thought of yet?
Experience isn't simply knowing more answers. Sometimes its greatest value is knowing which questions need to be asked in the first place. And, those questions can save money, prevent problems and completely change the experience of planning an event. That's what experience brings to the table.
