All final meetings with vendors is included, as is the travel for these meetings. Unlimited phone and email access is included. Attending your final fitting is included. I am a bride who lives in California, but my wedding is in NY. Can you plan my wedding?
I have worked with out of town brides for many years. I have even planned a wedding for a soldier who was stationed in Afghanistan. We worked by email, Google Docs and phone. I have also planned a wedding for a bride who lived in California and her mother in Florida, whose wedding was in Pa. I did all the legwork, sent them all the info and let them make all final decisions.
What is NOT included in your fee?
Meetings farther away than 50 miles from Philadelphia- plane fare, train fare or mileage will be added as an upgrade. Transportation for the wedding weekend- airlines, trains, etc. is in addition to the fee for planning, as are hotel accommodations for the
wedding weekend.
I am not sure I can afford a wedding planner.
A wedding planner is not just for the rich and famous. Every bride can benefit from a good wedding planner. Having an advocate to recommend the right vendors, to negotiate contracts and to ensure the success of your big day is, as they say, PRICELESS. I will do my utmost to work with your budget.
How far do you travel for weddings?
I will travel anywhere for a bride. I have worked in Pa, NJ, NY, De, Md, Washington DC, Chicago and Florida. But, I am available for travel to any location, with the above stipulations.
I am a bride with a lot of personal touches. Will the caterer or the florist place my decor items at the venue?
NO! If you bring in your own decor items, the caterer will, in most cases, not place then for you. And, if you are doing all your own decor and don't have a registered caterer, YOU will be setting up your own wedding on your big day. Enter the wedding planner! This is where my services become invaluable!
Why do I need a wedding planner?
Besides the fact that a GOOD planner will see you through the maze of planning a wedding - something you have never done before, - a planner can save you money, alleviate the stressful moments before and during your wedding day, be your advocate in keeping everyone on their toes and give you security that your big day will not be a train wreck. But, what IF the unimaginable happens and disaster befalls you- your phone dies on the way to your destination wedding, you get lost and are 4 hours late to your rehearsal, the photographer is late, the band doesn't show up, the hotel is full of major league football players and your guests can't get in the elevators, the venue closes two weeks before your wedding. ALL of these things have happened to my clients and more! NONE of these weddings was a disaster! They were all a success in the end.
Why should I hire a Philadelphia planner for a New York wedding?
I am as familiar with NY as any NY planner. But, my prices are far more affordable- even with travel costs. And, I have helped many NY brides who have been very happy. So, being in the city of the wedding, no matter what city, isn't really an issue.
What happens if you get sick and can't be at my wedding?
This has never happened to me. But, if it did, I have trusted planners that I can go to who will step in and make your wedding a success.
